Swatch Art Peace Hotel Artist Residency in Shanghai

This video introduces the Swatch Art Peace Hotel Artist Residency in Shanghai. Located at the intersection of Nanjing East Road and the Bund, the residency is housed inside the historic Peace Hotel — one of the most iconic buildings in Shanghai.

The program is open to artists from all over the world. Whether you are a dancer, musician, photographer, filmmaker, writer, painter, or a digital and multimedia artist, the residency offers comfortable living spaces and fully equipped studios for your creative work.

I’m now walking along the Bund and Nanjing East Road to show you the surrounding views. Day or night, the Bund is stunning. With its 200-year-old European-style architecture, this area provides endless inspiration for artists.

The residency includes apartment-style accommodation and 18 shared studios, where residents can create, collaborate, and connect with artists from different countries and backgrounds.

There are also several museums and art exhibition spaces on both sides of the Bund within walking distance. It’s an ideal place to learn, exchange ideas, and immerse yourself in a vibrant creative environment.
